Jurong Island is a petrochemical hub located off the south-west coast of Singapore. The 2.3km long bridge linking to mainland Singapore was officially opened in 2000. SBS operated services 711, 712 and 713 to the island from 2000 to 2003. Upon the expiry of the 3-year contract, a new tender was put up, which was awarded to Transit Network Consortium (TNC). Services 714, 715, 716 and 717 began operation on 30 June 2003. Services 714 and 715 were later merged as one service and the current routes are:
715: Jurong East Interchange - Seraya and Ayer Merbau
716: Jurong Island Checkpoint - Sakra
717: Combination of services 715 and 716 during off peak hours |
