| Scheme 'B' bus services were introduced in 1974 as part of the Supplementary Public Transport Service to cater to peak hour demand. Amendments to the originally-introduced routes were not allowed, and due to changes in demographics, the demand for these services dropped over the years. Currently, the following services remain operational:
621: Bedok Reservoir Rd - Shenton Way via Bedok North / South Roads and ECP 623: Boon Lay Place - Tanjong Kling Road via Lakeside MRT, Jalan Boon Lay and Jalan Buroh 625: Boon Lay Place - Shenton Way via Jurong West / East Avenues 1, Jurong East Central, Commonwealth Avenue West, Ulu Pandan Road, Holland Road, Napier Road, Orchard Road and Bras Basah Road 628: Macpherson Estate - Shenton Way via Macpherson Road, Bendemeer Road, Jalan Besar, Bencoolen Street and Bras Basah Road 630: Sunset Way - Shenton Way via Ulu Pandan Road, Holland Road, Napier Road, Orchard Road and Bras Basah Road 640: Canberra Road - Shenton Way via Sembawang Road, Upper Thomson Road, Thomson Road, Sungei Road, Bencoolen Street and Bras Basah Road 641: Serangoon Central - Shenton Way via Boundary Road, Serangoon Avenue 2, Upper Serangoon Road, Upper Paya Lebar Road, Paya Lebar Road, Gullimard Road and Nicoll Highway 642: Dover Road - Beach Road via North Buona Vista Road, Commonwealth Avenue, Queensway, Jalan Bukit Merah, Cantonment Road and Shenton Way 644: Marine Parade - Shenton Way via Marine Parade Road, Joo Chiat Road, East Coast Road, Mountbatten Road and Nicoll Highway The following services are also believed to be still in operation: 645: Toa Payoh - Boon Lay 646: Toa Payoh - Changi Airport 648: Toa Payoh - Tanjong Pagar Road 651: Simei - Changi Airpor |
